Combine all topping ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Seal the foil tightly around the ham.
Place the foil-wrapped ham on an inverted cake pan inside a Dutch oven.
Cover the Dutch oven and bake in a hot fire (or oven at 375°F/190°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Open the foil and baste the ham with the accumulated juices.
Bake for another 10 minutes, basting about 4 times.
Pack the topping mixture on top of the ham.
Return the ham to the Dutch oven, cover, and place hot coals over the oven lid (or return to oven).
Cook until the topping is brown and bubbly, about 15 minutes.
Baste the topping with pan juices during the last few minutes of cooking.
Cool the ham completely before serving.
