Prepare all the ingredients.
Cut the paneer into cubes.
In a bowl, add paneer, turmeric powder, red chili powder, kasuri methi, and salt. Mix well and set aside for 20 minutes to marinate.
Heat oil in a kadhai (wok) or pan.
Shallow fry the marinated paneer cubes on both sides until lightly golden. Cook for 2-3 minutes and set aside.
In the same kadhai, add the remaining oil.
Add cumin seeds and shah jeera (royal cumin).
After 15 seconds, add finely chopped onions and sauté until soft and translucent.
Add garlic paste, green chili, and coriander powder. Mix well.
Add tomato puree, ajwain (celery seeds), and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the fried paneer, cream, and garam masala. Mix gently.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Turn off the heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve Tawa Paneer Masala hot with tawa paratha and palak raita.
