Boil orange (unpeeled) in water for 2 hours. Cool completely.
Preheat oven to 180c (350F).
Blend eggs and caster sugar until smooth.
Cut up the cooled orange (unpeeled) and add to the egg mixture. Blend until smooth.
Add almond meal and baking powder. Blend well.
Grease a baking pan and dust with caster sugar.
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Sprinkle caster sugar on top of the batter.
Bake for 1 hour, or until golden brown.
Let the cake cool completely before dusting with icing sugar.
Serve with cream if desired.
