Shape the beef mince into a large meatball.
Flatten the meatball into a patty about 2cm thick using your hands or a BBQ spatula and tongs.
Separate the onion into rings and place them on the BBQ to cook.
Add the bacon and egg to the BBQ plate and cook.
Cook all ingredients, flipping as needed until cooked through.
Flip the egg over to cook completely.
Cut the hamburger roll in half and grill/broil until lightly browned and crisp, flipping to toast both sides.
Butter the inner sides of the toasted roll.
If using grated cheese, sprinkle it on the top inner half of the toasted roll and grill until melted.
If using a cheese slice, place it on the cooked hamburger patty on the BBQ to melt slightly.
Remove all cooked ingredients from the heat.
Assemble the burger: start with the bottom roll, then add lettuce, beetroot slices, tomato slices, and pineapple slice.
Add the cooked beef patty (with or without melted cheese), then the bacon, egg, and onion rings.
Drizzle with BBQ sauce.
Top with the other half of the grilled roll (with or without melted cheese) and gently press down.
Serve hot on a plate and enjoy.
