Pressure cook the toor dal with water, turmeric, and salt for 4 whistles.
Release the pressure naturally.
Transfer the cooked dal to a saucepan.
Muddle the dal into a smooth, coarse paste, adding water if needed.
Heat the saucepan and add milk, cream, and curd.
Mix slowly until the dal thickens.
Heat a pan for tempering and add cumin seeds; let them splutter.
Add chopped ginger, garlic, and onions; sauté until translucent.
Add green chilies and red chili powder; reduce the heat.
Pour the tempered spices over the dal and stir.
Serve hot with Awadhi Style Bakarkhani.
