Cook the spaghetti to al dente, reserving about 1/2 cup of the cooking water before draining.

Add the crushed garlic cloves to the hot oil and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the butter to the sauce and stir until it is fully melted and emulsified.
Spoon some of the piccata sauce over the warm tilapia fillets.
In the same skillet, toss the cooked spaghetti with the reserved pasta water and the remaining piccata sauce.
Serve the spaghetti alongside the tilapia piccata.
