Prepare clams by soaking in salted water for 15 minutes, rinsing, and repeating twice.
Clean and devein shrimp; pat dry.
Cook chorizo in a paella pan or wide skillet until done, then slice and set aside.
Brown chicken in the skillet for 15 minutes; remove and set aside.
Bring chicken broth to a boil in a saucepan.
Sauté onion, red pepper, and garlic in the remaining oil in the skillet.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add rice, boiling broth, oregano, and saffron to the skillet; bring to a boil then remove from heat.
Arrange chicken, sausage, shrimp, and clams on top of the rice.
Scatter peas over the paella.
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
Do not stir the paella while baking.
Remove paella from oven and cover with a kitchen towel.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving directly from the pan.
