Prawns
Red Chilli powder
Deshell and devein the prawns.
Wash the prawns thoroughly.
In a bowl, combine prawns with 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and salt to taste.
Mix well and marinate for 10 minutes.
Chop coriander leaves and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, heat 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil over medium heat.
Add finely chopped onion and fry until translucent.
Add grated garlic and fry on low heat for a few seconds until fragrant.
Add finely chopped spring onion greens and saute for a minute.
Add the marinated prawns.
Mix well, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat, or until prawns are cooked through.
Remove cover, add chopped coriander leaves, mix well, cover, and cook for a minute.
Remove cover and add 1 tablespoon of Nando's Peri Peri Chicken Sauce (or your favorite hot sauce) and mix well.
Simmer on low heat for 5 more minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Switch off the flame.
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with scallion greens.
Serve hot.
