Soak black eyed peas in water for 2 hours.
Heat a pressure cooker and add oil.
Sauté garlic and onions until translucent.
Add chopped celery and herbs and sauté for some more time.
Add tomato puree and salt, sauté until cooked and water evaporates.
Add black eyed beans and coat with the masala.
Pressure cook for 4 whistles.
Serve along with Broken Wheat/ Bulgur to make it a healthy high protein meal.
