Spoon the salmon mixture into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Add flour to the melted butter and stir until smooth. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes bubbly.
Season the white sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the salmon loaf is cooked, let it cool slightly before slicing.
Cut the salmon loaf into slices and serve with the warm white sauce on top.
