Flake the fish with a fork, discarding any bones if needed.
Place the flaked fish, potato, and 3 tablespoons of reserved cooking liquid in a food processor.
Process until desired consistency is achieved, adding more cooking liquid if needed, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Serve immediately.
For Fish Dinner with Veggies variation: Stir in 1 serving each of Green Peas and Carrots purees into Basic Fish Dinner.
For Cheesy Fish and Potatoes variation: Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese over drained potato and let cheese melt. Continue to follow above procedure from step 2.
